Exiting Eden


                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Perhaps the answer to the old question of why truly Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden is right in the verses of the Genesis book: 
"And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us,  to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore, the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden,  to till the ground from whence he was taken." (Genesis 3, 22-23)
God wanted to prevent his creations to become other gods. He obviously did not favor competition.

mm well the bible is a book full of secrets. I refer that is a book that led people to kill or keep up his/her spirit only for their understanding or in what way people interpret it.This is religion, a delicate topic, what we can only do in my opinion is to supposed. And whats is writing there is interesting, it really make me think a lot. Mmmm why a GOD that is the everything is so cautious or fearful, maybe what you are saying is correct. I remember that the apple, that Adan and Eva eat, represents the fruit of wisdom and the angels and God have the fruit of the life. That is because at both started to feel shame, because that is the way the human being is, Unperfect,we feel fear about everything we don't know. Lets compare, when Adan is put in the paradise with all those animals which were unknown for Adan, he only started to putting them names. What could be the human reaction for that case?, well Im sure that one of us will be running for everything at the start. So maybe that's why God feel that way to "take care of us" because he is obtaining a repentance position about he/she did to us. Finally my thinking about God started to make me repentance for all what I already write :/.

The Maps of Ship-Trap Island

Once I had my high school students read The Most Dangerous Game, a short story by Richard Connell. Rainsford, the main character, is a professional hunter traveling by ship to his next hunting area, accidentally ends up in an island called Ship- Trap island. When he goes into the island he finds there are two men living in a palace in the island. One of them is a Cossack general and the other, his brutish servant.  The Cossack is called general Zaroff who is also  a game hunter but has become bored of hunting regular game and now uses the island's unique position to capture sailors from shipwrecks. He lets them go first and next after some time he hunts them down. Rainford's arrival who is worldwide famous presents Zaroff with a rare opportunity to find excitement in hunting again by hunting another hunter. Little does Zaroff know that Rainsford is The Most Dangerous Game in the World and hunting him will not be easy at all. My students enjoyed themselves at reading

How do you say EXAMEN SUPLETORIO in English?

Darn! I wonder if there's a Make Up exam for this Make up exam! I remember that long ago I asked my distinguished and knowledgeable colleagues of that time to enlighten me and tell me the right English word for what we know in Ecuador as EXAMEN SUPLETORIO or EXAMEN DE RECUPERACION.  After hearing Recovery exam or Supplemenary test and even Supletory exam, I was not convinced so I decided to go to a higher authority and looked up one of those encyclopedic dictionaries from Oxford or Cambridge university (these were the pre-browser times) and found the right expression is MAKE UP EXAM which is taken when an exam has been missed or when a student needs to change one score with a more favorable one. The British say RECUPERATION EXAM which is perhaps more practical since to some people the term Make Up is confusing. Make-up is the word for the wearing of cosmetics. There are Make-up tests which are oriented to future Make-up artists.
