What's a COMMODITY in Spanish?

To think all these commodities cannot satiate Human Greed

COMODIDAD should be the most logical choice but no.
It turns out that COMMODITY is another false cognate. By definition a COMMODITY in English is any article or item that is used in trade and commerce in general. In other words, Grains, Beverages, Metals are all of them COMMODITIES.
The word COMODIDAD in Spanish equates to Confort which is why it is rarely found in plural form.
Thus the real translation of COMMODITY would be ARTICULOS DE COMERCIO.
