Describing a Video Sequence: an EFL Activity
This is an activity that focuses on Speaking though there is also Listening and Writing involved.
First of all , you need a video. Make sure it is a video that can be understood easily in terms of what happens in the sequence. The video should not be too short or too long and if possible it should be a hilarious one. Then run the video with the sound off.
Second, organize your students in pairs. One of them faces the video images and tells his or her partner what is happening while the other takes notes writing what is being described to her or to him.
When the video is over they exchange places and roles. It is a good idea to have another video for the second group so neither student has the same material.
