Alex Ross: Artist Extraordinaire

Not many can say that they are the disciples of some great man if they could not actually meet him/her while he or she was alive, but if you are Alex Ross then you could. Alex Ross is an artist whose main work is devoted to the world of comics and his style is so similar to that of Norman Rockwell that saying otherwise would be  a discredit for both.
I first came to know about his production when I saw the covers e                      interior art for Kingdom Come for DC and of course Marvels for Marvel. his style is clean and with eye to detail just like the mentor rhe never met.  He  undoubtedly deserves to be called the Norman Rockwell of comic and here is proof:

The Justice League

The Avengers

Perhaps Ross's greatest contribution to the world of comics is not the amount of work he has done but the idea that this painting style could be applied to comics which is both an advantage and a drawback: it looks terrific but it takes time to be produced. the explains why Ross never takes a "regular" job but prefers to work freelance.
Ross has lots of fans wherever his art can be seen, even from Ecuador. One of my fellow teachers, +Andrés Ávila is a great fan of his and if you want to know more about Ross and see more of his art visit his website www.thealexrosscollector.com. You won't be disappointed.
