How do you say GATO DE MANCHAS CAFÉ, NEGRAS Y ANARANJADAS in English?

"Hey, human. If you call me CALICO, what should I call you?"

The term in English is CALICO cat.
Now the word CALICO does exist in Spanish and it is CALICÓ with an accent but for some reason, no one uses that word (at least not in Guayaquil).
Apparently the word is originally French from which it was taken into English.  How the term crossed over to Spanish is still unclear.
So it seems that we will have to get used to the term or keep saying GATO DE MANCHAS CAFÉ, NEGRAS Y ANARANJADAS as we have so far.

Very interesting.
I had a little cat Calicó, it was very beautiful but I had to send it to someone else, I would have liked to know this term before, perhaps I would have called it that.

Very important information to expand our vocabulary, I didn’t know of the existence of this word since I guess I am not related to these pets. Thanks for the information.
A new word to extend my vocabulary. Thank you!

Great information, for me all the cats are cats, I do not care about their color, but knowing this, it's cool. I did not know that they had a name.

There are many unknown words and CALICO or as we would say in Spanish CALICÓ is one of them, it is incredible to know that with that word I reduce many characteristics of a cat. this information is very interesting.
The first time I saw this word was a few years ago, when I translated BTS's Jimin's song 'Serendipity'. Since the song is in Korean, I translated it into English, and that's when I came to know such a curious term. Personally, I've never used it, but I'll try to do it soon, so that I never forget about it.

I like cats and have heard of calicos before, but I don't remember exactly when or where I found out about this. An additional interesting fact is that this type of cat is usually female due to genetics.
It is something totally new, now I will use it more in my vocabulary.

I had never heard the word “CALICO” in my life :o
Now that I know the meaning, I hope to remember this word when I saw a cat with those characteristics. It would be nice to include it in my frequent vocabulary.

I know absolutely nothing about different breeds of dogs and cats. I only know one or another breed of dog and cat, only recognize the Siamese.
I called them 'tricolour cat'. New word that I can use. Thanks for the post!

well, I am a cat lover and I do know and use this word to refer to a cat with these characteristics and in many groups where I am also used; So it seems strange to me to read that it is not a very used term.

I really liked this word, because I had never asked myself what this colorful cat is called, now I have a new word for my vocabulary. Thank you so much, it is a interesting information.
I didn't know that's how you called that type of cat. I only call them "cats". It's good to know, though. And I found it interesting that the term is originally french. So, I did a little research on its etymology and I managed to find that it means something close to motley or multi-colored. Cool.
