Breaking Dawn Part 2

So, it's over. One of the most anticipated endings and all I can say is I'm not disappointed.
They say that sequels are never good or at least not good enough as the original. This is the fifth installment of the saga and instead of a descendo this was a crescendo. It begins exactly where the last one left off with Bella already a vampire and getting used to her new condition, discovering her new powers and abilities and also growing to the her new role of being the mother of a girl who is half human and half vampire. Soon the "royalty" of the vampires, the Volturi, get wind of what is happening and decide to pay a visit to the Cullens and see by themselves how to assess the potential threat posed by Renesmee, Edward and Bella's child, conceived while Bella was still human (though really there is a more sinister reason for their move). That is the core of the movie, how the Cullens prepare and finally confront the almighty Volturi, the help they get from othe vampire clans and from the Wolves. (Spoiler ahead) You see a lot of beloved characters die and also the Volturi, but then it turns out they are not really destroyed. I don't mean to be cryptical, but that's what happens in the movie which you will have to see in order to understand.
I really like when I am fooled by a good plot and surprisingly this one did. I also liked the pacing, not as slow as the previous films and how all the loose ties get resolved though as a result, a lot of the tension between Bell, Edward and Jacob is lost. However, it all makes sense when it is revealed Jacob's real destiny which is strictly tied of that of Renesmee's. The photography is impeccable, especially the opening sequence and the music which always played an important part in Twilight is as superb as ever. The resolution where even more new characters are introduced makes perfect sense and the dialog lines reflect who each character is and what is that drives them. The actors have obviously grown into their roles and the new actors play their parts quite acceptably.
Fans surely will rest easy when they see the ending, or endings, whichever way you want to see it.
I enjoyed Breking Dawn (I was not particularly impressed by the others) and recommend it though really if you have not seen any of the previous ones you might have a hard time understanding it. True as a movie is only a good movie but as a closing part it is just perfect.
Five out of five stars for the entire Twilight saga.
